What we do?

  • To allow provision for disaster relief.
The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation mission is to meet the short- and long-term needs of disaster-affected communities. We provided vital resources to those in need as effectively and efficiently as possible
  • To provide educational skills development programmes to needy, physically challenged and unemployed.
Possibly the most significant threat we, as a country face, is present and pending. Presently, we have a few skilled workers. Pending, we have fewer. Providing skills development to all in need in South Africa is high up in the agenda to the Al-Asad Charitable Foundation.
The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation aims to enhance the employability of unemployed persons and create necessary qualified workforce in order to diminish skills mismatches in the local labour market.
  • To provide anti-poverty initiatives.
The struggle against poverty requires involvement from all stake holders in South Africa. The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation consistently looks to support new initiatives in this fight against poverty. This support can take several forms, such as mentoring new businesses or community organisations, volunteering in poor communities, feeding schemes, hamper distributions, assisting organisations representing the poor or even providing funds.
  • To develop and manage communities with monthly incomes falling within the housing subsidy eligibility requirements.
The National Department of Human Settlements has initiated a plan to tackle Gap housing, allowing for a housing subsidy for low income households (R3,500 to R15,000), which is too little to enable them to purchase in the private property market, and too much to qualify for state assistance in the form of home loans or RDP houses. The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation have qualified professionals who will help communities with their subsidy requirements and process, necessary if they are eligible.
  • To provide career guidance and counselling services to students, graduates, workers and unemployed
The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation provides counselling services that is designed to help with choosing, changing, or leaving a career and is available at any stage in life. One’s career is often one of the most important aspects of adulthood, and embarking on a new career, whether for the first time, the second time, or any time thereafter, can be a stressful event, especially when economic difficulties such as recession are a factor. A career counsellor can help by outlining and discussing one’s potential career options. The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation provides skilled professionals to help guide you along your journey better understand the realities of a certain careers.
  • To provide an income supplementation to the Ulama (religious scholars) and various Muazzins.
