What is Operation Winter Warmth?
This year, the winter has come upon us when many in the community are worse off than they have been in a very long time. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak and associated lockdown measures, large numbers have lost jobs and sources of livelihood, leaving them fighting to put food on the table. In this situation many do not even have the means to buy that extra blanket or a woolen hat to keep their children’s ears warm.
The Al-Asad Charitable Foundation have joined forces with the Al-Imdaad Foundation Western Cape and this year partnered with Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) to assist the most vulnerable.
Blankets, warm hats, and food hampers will be distributed to disabled persons in various townships and farming areas in the Western Cape.
This winter let us be warm-hearted to the neediest families.
